Fees and Payment Options

Insurance: |
| I am not currently accepting new clients utilizing private insurance, but I can provide "superbill" receipts for clients with PPO plans (or Health Savings Accounts) that reimburse clients for their therapy session costs.

I do accept some clients with Medi-cal through Contra Costa Health Plan only. I cannot accept Medi-cal clients with Kaiser, Blue Cross or from other counties. |

PPO or Health Savings Account
Clients with PPO Insurance may see any provider they choose, although seeing a non-preferred provider may cost somewhat more than a provider that is contracted with your insurance.
Clients with PPO insurance or Health Savings Account must pay full fee for each session. I can provide a thorough billing statement ( a "super-bill") for you to use for reimbursement of your fees from your health insurance company or your Health Savings Account. |

Private Pay: |
| The fee for a 45 minute individual adult, adolescent or parent/caregiver session is $150. A 60 minute session is $200. Optional provision of a written Treatment Plan following an initial Diagnostic Evaluation is an additional $200. (This fee does not apply to Medi-cal clients.)

Sliding scale:
For those without insurance, or who prefer not to use their insurance, a sliding scale is available depending on your income. The sliding scale ranges from $100 to $150 per 45 minute adult or parent session, based on income. If you wish to have a written Treatment Plan (which includes a Diagnostic Evaluation), there will be an additional charge of $200 to cover time that I spend on your diagnosis and Treatment Plan outside of our session time. (This fee does not apply to Medi-cal clients.)

| Cancellation requirements:
Clients who need to cancel a session, and who give notice by phone or (preferably) text, at least 2 days in advance of the cancelled session, will not have to pay for the missed session. Clients who give notice only 1 day before the cancelled session will be charged half-price for the missed session. Clients who give same-day notice or no notice at all, but do not show up for their session, will be charged the full session fee. (An exception may be made for a true emergency, but not for multiple "emergencies.")
Note: Medi-cal clients cannot be charged these fees, but therapy may be terminated if more than 2 sessions are missed without 24 hours notice. |

Clinical consultation:
I provide clinical consultation for therapists working with children or with clients from populations with which the therapist is less familiar, including transgender, other LGBTQ+, African-American or other ethnicities that the therapist is unfamiliar with or having difficulty understanding. The fee is $200 per hour. A discount is available for therapists who provide services mostly to Medi-cal or low-paying sliding-scale clients.

Other services:
Letters to schools, doctors, attorneys, etc. can be provided to clients at an hourly rate that corresponds to the rate paid for therapy. |
